Tree Climbing USA – “Hanging Out With Shady Characters”

Tree Cimbing USATree Climbing USA is an organization devoted to increasing awareness and knowledge of tree climbing. They offer training and conduct climbs for climbers of all levels of skill and experience. Their website has lots of great information about tree climbing and insights into tree climbing as a form of experiential education.

Their mission statement:

* Provide qualified tree climbing instruction for any and all seeking our direction and experience,
* Promote safe tree climbing techniques for climbers and to do no harm to the trees.
* Further develop and expand our grove by locating and securing access into large and/or interesting trees which are suitable for recreational, edge-ucational, and expeditional tree climbing,
* Promote respect and responsibility toward trees, the natural environment, and each other,
* Have fun exploring the canopies in a non-competitive manner while sharing adventure with like-minded individuals, and
* Establish groves for tree climbing which follow our philosophy and safety guidelines while adapting them to their unique populations.
